Serial Burglary Suspect Arrested Yet Again

A Lake of the Pines man out on bail while still facing prosecution for a number of burglaries in Nevada County has now been arrested on similar charges by Placer County authorities. And County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Troy Sander says the suspect, and another woman, were caught in the act by a Foresthill homeowner. The homeowner says he saw a suspicious pickup parked in his driveway…

Sander says deputies found the doors pried open at the house, which is also for sale. He says the man and woman, identified as Justin Montgomery and Barbara Nemeth (NEH-meth), of Foresthill, had taken laptops and other electronic items. And Sander says the duo also appeared to have been busy earlier in the day…

Sander says Montgomery and Nemeth were also arrested for possession minor amounts of methamphetamine during the booking process. Montgomery has an extensive arrest history in Nevada County and, in 2014, was considered one of the most wanted suspects by the Sheriff’s Department.
