A man suspected of armed robberies at pharmacies from Reno to the Bay Area over the last few months, including Placer County, has been arrested in the Lake Tahoe area. That was just a few minutes after 48-year-old Peter Terry, of Reno, allegedly held up the same pharmacy in Kings Beach for a third time. Placer County Sheriff’s Sergeant Dave Hunt says Terry was addicted to painkillers. He says a detective working the case was in the area when he heard the dispatcher call, just after the latest robbery had occurred, Tuesday afternoon, and also heard, once again, that a dark-colored car was being used by the suspect…
There was then a pursuit that quickly ended when the suspect drove down a dead-end street. Hunt says the family had no idea about the drug problem..
Hunt says Terry is also suspected of hitting a pharmacy in Colfax.
