The annual Ladies Relief Society Donation Day Parade which takes place in Grass Valley is more than just a Parade and a food collection event for students at Grass Valley Charter School. This year the Charter school moved into the Old Hennessy School site on South Auburn Street and served as the base for the Donation Day Parade. Teachers used the opportunity to develop Service Learning projects for their students. Service Learning is the combination of doing something that gives back to the community and also is linked to academic learning.
