While it was a pretty light agenda for the Grass Valley City Council last night, it should be a fairly busy one for the Nevada City City council this evening. City Manager Mark Prestwich says one example is an ordinance that would give law enforcement more authority when it comes to safety violations on private property…
That ordinance is very similar to one in Grass Valley which Prestwich says has been very effective for about five years. There will also be discussion on an ordinance to regulate mobile food vending. Prestwich says one example would be the hours that the vendors, commonly known as lunch trucks, could operate…
That issue was brought by the vendors to the planning commission last year. Other items include revisions in the building code, similar to what the Grass Valley council discussed last night, and discussion of a program that could bring more parking places to downtown. The meeting starts at 6:30 at City Hall.
