Sewer Cleaning Proposed for Grass Valley

Grass Valley’s sewer system will be the main topic of discussion tonight. The City Council is expected to approve a Sewer System Cleaning and Inspection Project. Public Works Director Tim Kiser says the project will cover about five miles of pipe, or about ten percent of the system.

Crews will use a camera to check for major damage, but Kiser says cleaning is done with a high-powered hose.

If the Council approves the project, they will send it to bid by private contractors. The estimated cost is about 150-thousand dollars.
