‘Shoulder Tap’ Stings Several

A number of local citizens have not gotten the message about buying alcohol for minors. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Truckee Police, and Sheriff’s deputies used decoys to have minors approach people and ask them to buy them alcohol. Royal says over a thousand people in Northern California were contacted in the sting operation. One hundred and fifty-five people were asked to buy alcohol for the kids.
