Murder Victim ID Released

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the man they believe was murdered over the weekend in his Banner View Drive Home. Officials say because of the condition of the body, they were unable to confirm the identity of 67 year-old Gary Tackett until an autopsy was performed. The cause and manner of Tackett’s death are under investigation. 35 year-old Jason Schuller was arrested early Monday morning after leading law enforcement on a chase that ended in Sacramento. It’s believed that Schuller lived off and on at that Banner View Drive residence.
