Short Chase Ends With Arrest

A driver attempts to out run a deputy and ends up going to jail for a variety of charges. The deputy spotted the suspect vehicle with a broken tail light as he passed Twin Cities Church on Ridge Road west of Grass Valley around 4:30 PM. Sheriff Keith Royal tells KNCO that when the deputy pulled in behind the vehicle, it began to accelerate.*

The officers made contact with the driver, 50 year old Dale Lundberg, and determined he was driving on a suspended license adn was also out on bail for a previous crime. As officers took Lundberg into custody a search of the vehicle produced a small amount of methamphetamine. Lundberg was charged with driving on a suspended license, evading a peace officer and committing a felony while on bail.
A female passenger was interviewed by deputies adn shared an additional piece of information.

Lundberg was transported to the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility. The passenger was released on scene.
