Sierra College Offers a New Student Jump Start Event Saturday

Grass Valley, CA—Thinking about attending Community College this fall? The Sierra College Nevada County Campus in Grass Valley will hold a New Student Jump Start event on Saturday, August 16th. The purpose of this event is to stream-line the registration process and get students into the classes they want and need in time for the start of the Fall 2014 semester, which begins Monday, August 25th. The Jump Start event will be held from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm in Building N1. An RSVP is required in order to attend. Call the NCC Counseling Center at (530) 274-5303 x5.

There are two important steps that must be done online, before attending this jump start event:

1. Complete the online application for admission by logging in to www.sierracollege.edu
2. Upon admission, complete the online orientation. This can be found by clicking onto the link on your mySierra portal.
Complete your final registration steps for Fall at the Jump Start Event. New student workshops include:
• Assessment and placement
• How to pay for college
• Group Counseling session
• Signing up for classes
