Sierra County Sheriff Joins Letter Writers

Sierra County Sheriff John Evans is part of a growing list of law enforcement against the proposed gun restrictions by the federal government. Sheriff Evans has sent a letter to Senator Diane Feinstein expressing his concern on the assault on the Second Amendment. Sheriff Evans says he is voicing the concerns of the people of his community.

Senator Feinstein has introduced legislation to institute back ground checks on firearm purchases and eliminate assault weapons and the limited capacity of magazines. The Sheriff says the actions of the federal government is a direct assault on the Second Amendment of the Constitution.
