South Lake Tahoe is a hot bed for environmentalist activities this weekend. The Sierra Nevada Alliance 20th Anniversary Conference- Celebrate, Reflect, Act is Friday and Saturday with some activities on Sunday at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel near Stateline on the South Shore.  Outreach and Partnership Associate for the Sierra Nevada Alliance, Lynn Baumgartner, says the conference is a time for the 90 plus member groups to come together.

The Conference allows the groups to share their goals and successes of the past year. Two Keynote speakers are featured Friday and Saturday. Bill McKibbon is the opening speaker on Friday

The conference also has two special sessions one on the history of the Sierra Nevada Alliance and the second on Climate Change focused on the effects of the RIM Fire burning near Yosemite.
