Sierra Storytelling Festival This Weekend

If you like to hear people spin a good yarn or tell a tall tale, the North Columbia Schoolhouse is the place to be this weekend. They are hosting the 28th Sierra Storytelling Festival. Festival Coordinator Samantha Hinrichs says it kicks off Friday morning with a workshop Laura Simms from New York City, and features storytellers from all over the country…

There’s a children’s session on Sunday morning and little kids can sit right at the storyteller’s feet. After that session, all of the storytellers will tell their final tales. And if *you* have a story to tell, Hinrichs says you can participate in the ‘Story Slam’…

The Festival is Friday through Sunday at the North Columbia Schoolhouse Amphitheater on Tyler Foote Road. For ticket information, information about the storytellers, and directions, you can go to their website www.sierrastorytellingfestival.org.
