Sisters Closet Clothing Swap Hosted by Twin Cities Church

The Sisters Closet event hosted by Twin Cities Church is happening this Saturday April 22nd from 9 am to noon, but today is the day they are collecting donations of gently used clothing and accessories for the free shopping event for women on Saturday. Nancy Martin is the event coordinator this year, and says donations can be dropped off today between 12 noon and 6 pm. She says you’ll see lots of volunteers outside the church ready to help you unload donations. She says they always get a lot of items, much of it is like brand new.

Martin says there is no cost involved to the women who want to shop, and the church also has free childcare available…

Women’s Ministry pastor John Fairchild says the event was started several years ago during the recession when many families didn’t have the money to buy new clothes. He says they have incredible displays of items.  It’s just like going into a department store.

Last year they had about 300 women come in to shop. Once again donations of clothing are not required if you just feel like shopping.
