Six Defendants In Vehicle Shooting Death In Court

It’s the first in-person court appearance of all six people arrested for last November’s vehicle-to-vehicle shooting death that occurred in Grass Valley. But the suspected triggerman, 22-year-old Trey Richard, was the only one to formally enter a not guilty plea before a Nevada County judge. He’s still being held without bail. The other five defendants are from Texas and had only been appearing via zoom. But they were all ordered to appear in person, after the grand jury indictment of last month. And Assistant District Attorney Chris Walsh say their arraignment was postponed, with a bail hearing scheduled for them on Wednesday…

Richard is the only defendant facing a murder charge. But all six still face a possible life in prison sentences, due to their gang affiliation.
