Six people came close to perishing in a boat accident on Lake Tahoe. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Pete Van Arnum says the six people rented a power boat on Saturday afternoon. Van Arnum says there were one to two-foot waves on the lake, and the boat started taking on water and flipped over, throwing the six people into the lake…
The Lieutenant says all the people in the water were suffering from hyprothermia when they were rescued…
None of them were wearing their life jackets. All are expected to make a full recovery, but Van Arnum says they all could have died if rescuers had arrived just a couple of minutes later.
