Skaters in Grass Valley will have to take a 24 hour break if they usually use the Skate Park located in Condon Park. Park Maintenance Director, Ray Thomas, says the city is making small repairs to the concrete skating surface.

Thomas says that bicycles and scooters are harder than skateboards and roller blades on the concrete surface .

In order to make the repairs the Skate Park will be closed Wednesday morning and ideally re-open Thursday for skating.
The Skate ParkĀ is a 20,500-square-foot concrete in-ground public skate park designed in 2001 and is rated one of the Top 10 in California by California Skateboard Magazine.
