It’s defacing public property, and also a lack of respect. Oral Stallings, who is a member of the American Legion Frank Gallino Post 130, the Marine Corps League, and other veterans organizations, says there’s a problem in Grass Valley’s Memorial Park…
Grass Valley Police Chief Alex Gammelgard says there have been several complaint calls. There are security cameras in the park. Stallings says they have been vandalized, and Gammelgard says the cameras are old and can’t cover the entire area. Gammelgard says both of those issues are being addressed, and he says don’t hesitate to call, if you notice a problem…
Gammelgard says foot patrols have been increased in the park, and officers are spending more time there, because they can write police reports in their cars instead of having to do the paperwork at the office.
