Sleeping Trespasser Picked-up with Drugs

A man reportedly sleeping in the porch of a downtown residence ends up going to jail for drug related charges. Grass Valley Police Lt. Alex Gammelgard says police received a call around 3:30 AM Thursday.

The officer made verbal contact with 24 year old Madsen.

Because of Madsen’s behavior, the officer searched Madsen and he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a syringe.*

Further investigation also noted the owner of the property did not know who the suspect.
Matt Madsen was taken into custody for being under the influence, in possession of suspected methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.
