Slide Hits South Yuba River State Park

Access to South Yuba River State Park is expected to be much more limited at least through mid-week. Superintendent Matt Green says that’s because of a landslide that’s inundated most of the parking lot. That’s also closed the old 49er bridge between Nevada City and North San Juan. But Green says parking is now very limited to only more-distant portions off Highway 49 and citations have already been issued to those who parking in non-designated spots.
