Slight Drop In Nevada County’s Jobless Rate

After a half-a-point seasonal increase in January, Nevada County’s unemployment rate dropped slightly again in February. At 4.6%, that’s also a half-point LOWER than a year ago. The monthly drop was due to a substantial climb in government jobs, or 170. That offset minor drops in most other job sectors. Nevada County has the 14th lowest rate among the state’s 58 counties.
