Small Fire Handled Quickly

A small brush fire between Rough and Ready and Penn Valley gave residents a bit of a scare earlier today. The blaze was quickly contained by fire crews. Grass Valley Command Center Communication Operator, Vanessa Faulk, says the call came in just after 10:30 AM.

The air support did not need to drop retardant. The fire was contained to 1/4 of an acre.
