Small Grass Fire in So. Alta Sierra Update

1pm Update: Cal Fire now reports the fire is out and it was closer to one half acre in size in grass and brush in a field off Hiers Road.

Cal Fire is on the scene of a one acre brush fire in the south Alta Sierra Area. Cal Fire dispatcher Chelsea fox says it doesn’t appear it will grow in size but it is generating lots of calls of concern because of the heavy smoke and equipment involved.

The fire is off of Hiers Road.
