No structures were lost, but the blaze came very close to a couple of homes…
Hale says another dozen homes would have been at risk if the response hadn’t been so quick. Grass Valley Air Attack was used, along with two tankers, and a couple of helicopters, and about 60 personnel in all, including those on the ground.
