Smoke Bomb Closes Save Mart Monday Afternoon

A smoke bomb set off shortly before 5 pm in one of the grocery isles at the Save Mart Grocery store on the Nevada City HWY in Grass Valley, closed the store for about an hour as fire crews investigated. Chief Jerry Funk says the store was not damaged.

2 juveniles are suspected of setting off the device. ! suspect has been located and is being questioned. Grass Valley Fire, Nevada City Fire and Nevada County Consolidated Fire responded. The Grass Valley Police are continuing to review surveillance tape and investigating the incident.
