With smoke filling Nevada County air over the past few days and possibly a couple more days a head, Chief Medical Officer for Western Sierra Medical Center Dr. Glenn Thiel, has advice for area residents.
Dr. Thiel says if you have to be outside limit activity as much as possible.
Thiel says that because of the poor air quality, people on oxygen or that use assistive devices may need to adjust levels.
Dr. Thiel says that if you need to be outside and do work, there is and effective face mask available.
Of course wearing a filter mask will also makes it harder to breathe, but it will be filtered air that is passing into the lungs.
