Snow Causes Few Accidents, Closes One School

Snowfall in Western Nevada County made the roadways a little slick this morning, but no major traffic accidents have been reported. There had been a couple of reports of incidents involving school buses, but none of them turned out to be collisions. Tassone says one bus with no pupils on board slid into a ditch near its corporate yard on East Bennett Road, and needed to be pulled onto the roadway, but that incident was very minor. Tassone says they did have several reports of drivers losing control on Bruswick….

Chains were required just south of Grass Valley on Highway 49 this morning, and coming into Grass Valley on Highway 174. Only one school was closed today–the Echo Ridge Christian School.
