Socks for Sandy Survivors

One person can make a difference, and a local resident is trying to do just that for Survivors of Hurricane Sandy. Nevada County resident, Cora Hughes, has put together a project called Socks for Sandy.

Cora has already collected almost 80 pair of socks from a local school and some of her friends.

Hughes is working with local business to place sock drop-off boxes at various locations, including SPD markets, and is reaching out to all community members.

Any socks will do as long as they are in excellent condition.
