Solo Vehicle Overturn on Red Dog Road

A teenage driver overturned his vehicle on Red Dog Road about 4:10p.m. Wednesday  but was able to crawl out of the vehicle. When the CHP arrived they found the 1972 Volkswagen Bug on its side in a ditch just a few yards up from the intersection of Red Dog Rd. with Pasquale Rd. CHP officer Dan Fredrick responded to the call and says the driver gave his statement.

Water began flowing into a ditch. Two Nevada Irrigation District employees   just happened to drive by and had equipment in their truck to turn off the water valve to the hydrant. The driver of the Volkswagen was not injured. His mother says he had been driving the refurbished 1972 Volkswagon Bug for only three days.
