A trip over Donner summit can become a dangerous ride if the weather turns, and even more dangerous for those who come to the rescue. A National Geographic documentary series gives an inside look at the life and hazards of being a Tow Truck operator on the Interstate. Chaun Owens-Mortier worked with the production crew on the series called “Hell On the Highway” and will be the guest speaker at the Nevada County Historical Society’s Speaker Night, Thursday night.
