Speaker Series Begins 3rd Season At Fairgrounds

With today’s high school students being encouraged to start preparing earlier for adult life, the Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation begins the third season of its Speaker Series tonight. Callender says speakers talk for about half an hour and then take questions. And last year the Fairgrounds Foundation provided an added incentive to attend. Any student who attends 5 of the 6 events can apply for one of the two Foundation scholarships now offered at the end of the school year, worth $3,000 and $1500. The series runs monthly through May, with the exception of December, starting at 6:30pm.
