Speaker Series for Ag Youth Launched at Nevada County Fairgrounds

Successful people sharing their experience is the idea behind a new Speaker Series for youth in Agriculture that is being sponsored by the Nevada County Fair Foundation.

Nevada County Fair CEO Rea Callendar says he gained a great deal of knowledge from a mentor when he was a youth showing his animals at the fair. That’s where he go the idea for the Speaker Series which is open to youth in 4- H and FFA .The first speaker was Jack Parnell the former Secretary of Agriculture under President Bush.

The second speaker in the series was Dan Castles, the creator and owner of Telestream.

On January 20th Fair CEO Rea Callendar will be the featured speaker and in February California State Assembly Member Fiona Ma will be the guest speaker.
