Spend Mother’s Day at Empire Mine

The docents will be dressed in period costume. Sunday is one of just two days in the year that you are allowed to bring food into the park. However, Boire says, if mom doesn’t want to make food, or if you don’t want to bring food in, there will be nice items available for purchase…

Admission Sunday is seven dollars for adults, three dollars for kids ages 6 to 16. Grandmothers are admitted free. The Empire Mine opened in 1850, and at one time was the richest hard rock gold mine in California.
