Today’s Quilters don’t just make quilts for the bed, they make art quilts and wearable art clothing and even something called tuffets, and they will all be represented at the Springtime In the Pines Quilt Show at the Nevada County Fairgrounds this weekend April 30th and May 1st.

Nearly 300 quilts will be hung for viewing at the Quilt Show, put on by the Pine Tree Quilt Guild. Quilt Show Committee Chair Marjorie McConnell says there will be Theme Baskets full of items that will be raffled and a silent auction and people can buy tickets to win a Beautiful quilt designed by local color artist Christine Barnes.

Hours for the Quilt Show are 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am – 4 pm on Sunday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, admission is $7 parking is free.
