Squirrel to Blame for Power Outage

Pacific Gas and Electric Company officials say it was a squirrel that got into some of their electrical equipment in the Glenbrook basin that caused an outage that affected 2,205 of the utilities  customers this morning.  The Power outage was first reported at 6:39 a.m. and  was equally divided between  Nevada City and Grass Valley.

Power  was restored to almost all customers by noontime.  PG&E officials did not divulge the outcome for the squirrel.
