Stabbing Victim Choses Own Transportation to Hospital

A stabbing victim fled after his girlfriend used a knife to stab him in the back. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says the incident started Saturday morning on Dog Bar Road. The victim was making eggs when he got into an argument with his girlfriend, 27 year old Darcy Freudenblum of Grass Valley. Sheriff Royal says the two struggled over the frying pan.

The Sheriff says deputies a medical staff noticed a stab wound the the victims back. When the victim heard he was to be transported by helicopter he declined opting for his mother to driver him to Auburn Faith Hospital. After a telephone conversation with Freudenblum Deputies convinced her to come to the Sheriff’s Office were she was taken into custody for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The victims condition is unknown.

this article fails to state that the victim first hit Darcy with the HOT frying pan then proceeded to choke her and try to break her neck. Darcy was NOT charged with any crime as the district attorney found that she had stabbed the victim in self defense.
