Stabbing Victim in Critical Condition

A stabbing victim remains hospitalized after being repeatedly being stabbed at a party. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Deputies were called to Sierra Nevada Hospital for a victim of eleven stab wounds inflicted by a 3.5 inch folding blade knife. Deputies learned the victim had attended a party at a Wyvan Court home when a fight broke out.

The suspect, Hugh Tower of Grass Valley was taken into custody walking on the road near the scene. He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The victim is listed in critical condition at Sutter Roseville Hospital. Sheriff’s Investigators are trying to interview the victim to gain more information on the attack. The Sheriff says all the people attending the party were extremely intoxicated, making the investigation more difficult.
