Best says the 995 square foot home surrounded by 800 square feet of decking was designed to create a flexible indoor outdoor experience to complement the natural beauty of Northern California. The home had to be disassembled, transferred to Southern California and rebuilt in eight days prior to judging. During competition, Stanford tied for first place in Affordability and second place for Hot Water.
