Start Smart Driving Class for Teens Offered by CHP

The California Highway Patrol is offering another Start Smart Teen driving Course in Grass Valley.

Start Smart is targeted to teen drivers typically between the ages of 14-19 years old that are either driving already or interested in obtaining their drivers license soon.

The free class is a classroom-based event that is packed with information.

The focus of it is to provide safe driving techniques in general but also to ones that are specific to the area, like wet roads that are  winding with tree-lined shoulders or driving in areas where deer are present.

The class May 7 will be from 6 to 8 pm at the CHP Headquarters across the street from the Nevada County Fairgrounds on McCourtney Rd.  The class is free but parents need to register by calling the CHP office at 477-4900 or connect on Facebook or Twitter.
