There was an incident at the Center last night that resulted in multiple stabbing victims. The incident is currently under investigation by the Grass Valley Police Department.
The staff and board of The Center for the Arts are deeply saddened by the events that occurred last night. Our thoughts are with the injured and their families. We thank the Grass Valley Police Department, the EMTs and our concert security NES for acting swiftly and professionally to manage the situation.
Our deepest concern at every public event is to keep our patrons and volunteers safe. We hire professional security at every large event as we did last night. Please know this was an isolated event. The Center has emergency plans in place and takes extra precautions to provide a safe environment for the community to enjoy great events.
We appreciate your support during this time as it has been an emotional and difficult experience for all involved.
