Only essential and local travel is still being pushed this Memorial Day Weekend. But California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Nave says if you do have plans to drive out of your county or state, find out about their coronavirus restrictions…

Nave says a lot of tickets are still being handed out for motorists going over 100 miles an hour and he’s noticed an uptick in accidents, including big rigs. A year ago, 34 people died in crashes on state highways over the Memorial Day Weekend, including 10 who weren’t wearing seatbelts. There were 1099 DUI arrests.
