There are now 31 confirmed cases in California, but related to people coming into the state from China. Blake says Nevada County Public Health has also created a new “News and updates” tab on their website. And, as this remains an emerging and rapidly evolving situation, they urge residents to check these reliable sources for the latest accurate information. Meanwhile, the hoarding of face masks and N95 respirators is also a concern…
But, while the virus is a serious public health concern, Blake says the risk to most people in the United States remains low and seasonal flu is currently a more immediate threat. She also says no emergency declaration is being considered at this time.
