Stolen Fountain Leads To Warrant/Drug Arrest

A stolen fountain led to the arrest of a woman wanted for out-of-county warrants and possession of narcotics. The incident began when a business owner on La Barr Meadows Road noticed a copper fountain was missing from his property. Sheriff Keith Royal says the business owner did a little research of his own before contacting law enforcement.

The recycling business had the name of the person trying to recycle the fountain and provided it to the victim. It turns out the victim was familiar with the name as he had done work for him in the past. Deputies made contact with Brian Attebury, who admitted to taking and trying to sell the fountain. Coincidentally Attebury had a woman with him. When deputies ran a check on the female she came back with outstanding warrants out of Placer County.
