Stolen Vehicle Parked on Highway 49

A Nevada County Sheriff deputy on routine patrol was concerned about a driver and vehicle that was pulled over to the shoulder on Highway 49 near Quail Creek Road early Sunday morning. Sheriff Keith Royal says the officer turned his vehicle around to check on the driver.

The deputy then made contact with the driver identified as 44 year old Denise Delavega.

Upon further checking Delavega’s story did not match up with other reports so she was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle.
