Festival organizer Samantha Heinricks says it’s known as the Queen of Storytelling Festivals because they bring a wide spectrum of storytellers from all over the nation to the tree-shaded amphitheater stage.

The festival is held at the North Columbia School House on Tyler Foote Road past Nevada City on Highway 49.
The 1875-era one-room schoolhouse dominates the landscape. The festival is opened and closed by the ringing of the original schoolhouse bell. Tickets are available now through the website, www.sierrastorytellingfestival.org or by contacting the North Columbia Schoolhouse at (530) 265-2826.
