Current Nevada City City Council member Duane Strawser is going to run for another term in the upcoming election. Strawser who has been on the Council since 2010 says the Council has made significant progress but there is still work to do.

Some of the projects include working on the courthouse issue, sidewalk projects, monitoring Measure S and Measure L expenditures and the Pioneer Park pool improvements. Stawser says it’s also about other community improvement projects.

Duane says his family was included in the decision to run again; but he says he also received incredible support from the public.

Strawser says that he is finalizing the filing paperwork to make sure everything is in line and will hand deliver this afternoon or early tomorrow. At the City’s request he did not announce until he was absolutely certain he would be filing.
