Strong Named Parade Grand Marshal

The Grand Marshal has been selected for the upcoming Fourth of July Parade.

Strong, who grew up in Hawaii, but now makes his home in Nevada City, was scheduled to be on a trip, but the trip was canceled, so he is now available. The parade is in Nevada City this year, and Nevada City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cathy Whittlesey says entries are still coming in…

Whittlesey says they have over 40 entries, but expect about 80 by the time the parade gets here. The parade steps off at 11am this year, but will follow the same route it has been in years past…

Fireworks will be held at the Nevada County Fairgrounds that night.
