Stuck Accelerator Leads to Car Crash into Market

The Holiday Market on Pleasant Valley Road in Penn Valley is open today, but there is still one section of the building with a big hole in it that needs repair. Store Manager Barry Svensen says an elderly customer had some problems backing out of his parking space on Sunday around 5:30 in the evening.

Svensen says the area where the vehicle, which was a 2004 Chrysler 300, entered the store is the Organics section,but, luckily the refrigeration unit was not damaged.

The CHP took the report, but so far no word of any charges against the 86 year old male driver.
