The recent abundance of low snow always means a surge in recreationists. But Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says many don’t think through their activities as well as they should. He says two people decided to go four-wheeling in the snow and mud on Valencia Road, off Highway 20 Monday morning…

Royal says the two people called from an unoccupied cabin at the time. But then they found an occupied home, where they called the department again, and sheriff’s personnel picked them up in a snowcat Tuesday morning…
