Wow! What a great time we all had at the Nevada County Fair!
First off, Thanks for all the kind words about the job I do with Swap Shop! Both. in person to me at the fair, and on the Fair Survey form. I’ve always told my kids to pick their career path carefully because “It’s not really a job when you have so much fun doing it!” And Man, do I have fun with Swap Shop! Again, Thanks for all the kind comments!
Second, Sure the heat was brutal! But plenty of people braved that 100+ degree weather. They were rewarded with shorter lines!
Third, Once again the variety of exhibits was mind boggling. The creativity and the talent in this county once again was amazing!
With the closing of the fair, summer vacation is drawing to a close. Wednesday is the day for many students to return to the hallowed halls of academia. I only hope halls are air conditioned because this heat wave is far from over.
Good Luck to all the returning students! Just remember, in no time at all the phones here at the station will be ringing off the hook with questions about school closures due to a snow storm!
