Supervisor Lamphier to Hold Town Hall Meeting

Terry Lamphier, Nevada County Supervisor for District 3 (Grass Valley region), will hold a town hall meeting to present information on current County issues and projects he’s working on. He welcomes the opportunity to meet constituents, answer questions and listen to concerns.   The meeting will be held at 6:30PM on Thursday, March 28 at Nevada Union High School, Science Lecture Hall.

In addition to Supervisor Lamphier, youth counselor Sairam Moore and Nevada County Probation Director Michael Ertola will review efforts to assist at-risk youth.  County staff will explain key provisions of the new Cottage Food Bill and how it’s working.  There will be an update on efforts to expand Broadband access in Nevada County.  Grass Valley Mayor Dan Miller will provide an overview of Grass Valley issues.  Members of the Mental Health Advisory Board and the Biomass Task Force will also make brief presentations.

The Board of Supervisors is the legislative and executive body of County government.  The County serves as an arm of the state in providing critical health and human services such as public assistance, public health, child and adult protective services, child support services, Medi-cal, housing programs and veterans services.
